Excavator Diesel Knowledge
With the rising fuel price, users pay more and more attention to the fuel consumption of construction machinery. In the daily use of construction machinery, the operator should not only master the appropriate operation methods, but also often maintain the electronic control system, hydraulic system, diesel engine fuel system and air intake system, so as to ensure that the diesel engine works in the best stateThe maintenance of the machine is important, but you know that before the above maintenance, you must also know how to correctly manage and use the fuel, otherwise the maintenance of the diesel engine fuel system will only get twice the result with half the effort.Causes of engine failure: mostly poor management of oil, water and gasDue to the problems of heavy working load and environment, most of China's construction machinery will be used under severe working conditions. For a device, its service life is directly related to the quality of maintenance. The editor learned from the statistics obtained from the after-sales department of an international well-known brand that nearly 7 of the engine failures of the brand's construction machinery products were caused by poor oil, water and gas management. This time, let's give you a brief introduction to the relevant common sense of "fuel management"Pollution factors of fuelGenerally, fuel pollution refers to the following situations:(1) High water content(2) It contains sand and dust(3) High content of heavy oil(4) High content of paraffin(5) High sulfur contentNext, we will analyze the above five kinds of fuel pollution one by one.1. Harmfulness of waterWe take common rail diesel engine as an example:In short, the high water content in the fuel will accelerate the wear of the plunger, plunger sleeve and nozzle needle valve of the fuel injection pump, resulting in the failure of injection pressure drop, poor atomization, black smoke and engine power drop. The conical surface of the injector needle valve assembly and the middle needle valve is easy to wear, which affects the injection quantity of the injectorThe water content of normal high-quality diesel oil shall be lower than 0.03%. Too high water content will have a great impact on the quality of fuel oil, including:(1) After the water content of the fuel increases, the viscosity decreases, which reduces the lubrication performance of the mating parts of the fuel injector and oil pump, reduces the lubrication protection of the sealing surface of the needle valve and accelerates the wear of the parts.(2) The water entering the diesel from the outside is not clean enough and may contain a lot of impurities and various inorganic salts, which will aggravate the wear and corrosion of the matching surface and sealing surface of the fuel injector.(3) The increase of water content will lead to the proliferation of bacteria in the mailbox. At present, the sulfur content of diesel oil in China's market is high, so it will produce more acidic substances, destroy the acid-base balance of fuel oil and increase the corrosion degree of parts(4) The fuel with high water content has low viscosity. The filter element surface of the secondary filter cannot form a good oil film to assist the filter in filtering impurities, which will allow more large particle impurities to pass through the filter element, and the filter element will be greatly damaged under the influence of moisture and impurities, resulting in poor filtering capacity. In short, the high water content of fuel has a very serious impact on the fuel injector, and also damages other components of the fuel supply system such as the oil pump, but the fuel injector fault is more likely to occur and has a more direct impact on the engine performance.2. Harmfulness of sand and dustIf too much sand and dust are mixed into the fuel, it will accelerate the friction loss of the fuel injection pump plunger, plunger sleeve, oil outlet valve, fuel injection pump needle valve and transmission pump check valve, and in serious cases, it will cause the drop of injection pressure, poor atomization, black smoke and the decline of engine power. The outlet valve is severely worn due to the use of inferior fuel(1) There is a lot of sand and dust in the fuel, which will wear the oil nozzle and affect the atomization quality.(2) The sand and dust in the fuel contain alkali metal elements such as vanadium and sodium, which will form high-temperature sticky ash on the high-temperature heating surface pipe inside the engine.(3) In the high-temperature ash deposition, there are more vanadium pentoxide and the double salt containing sulfuric acid formed by sodium, which can destroy the oxidation protective film on the metal surface, resulting in high-temperature corrosion of oil outlet valve, fuel injection pump plunger, plunger sleeve and other parts.3. Harmfulness of heavy oilHeavy oil, also known as fuel oil, is a dark black liquid. It is mainly mixed with atmospheric oil, vacuum residue, cracked residue, cracked diesel and catalytic diesel in the process of crude oil processing.Heavy oil is the residual heavy oil after extracting gasoline and diesel from crude oil. It is characterized by large molecular weight and high viscosity. The specific gravity of heavy oil is generally 0.82-0.95, and the specific heat is about 10000-11000kcal / kg. It is mainly composed of hydrocarbons, and also contains some (about 0.1-4%) sulfur and trace inorganic compoundsWhen the heavy oil mixed into the fuel is injected into the cylinder, large carbon particles will be formed due to the failure of rapid and complete combustion, which will cause the blockage of the nozzle.4. Hazard of paraffinThe viscosity of fuel oil (diesel) itself is large, and the viscosity will become larger with the decrease of temperature, that is, the fluidity of fuel oil (diesel) is poor at low gas temperature. The fuel contains a certain amount of paraffin. At low temperature, the paraffin is easy to crystallize, which will lead to poor fluidity of the fuel. The lower the temperature, the more obvious the paraffin crystallization, and even form a crystallization network, which will eventually lead to the loss of fluidity of fuelAt low temperature, the fluidity of the fuel is poor, and the fuel can not pass through the oil pipe and filter smoothly, so that the oil pipe and filter element are blocked, which will reduce or even interrupt the fuel supply, and the engine can not work normally (difficult to start) or even flameout (unable to start).5. Hazards of sulfurWhat is "national four Diesel"?National diesel refers to diesel with sulfur content no more than 50ppm. Many people only know to use good fuel for machines, but they don't understand why to use fuel with low sulfur content. In fact, this is not only because of environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction, but also the most direct benefit is to reduce damage to internal parts of the engineIn fact, the answer is simple. The sulfur in the fuel will form acid after combustion, which will be shown as follows:(1) Accelerate oil deterioration(2) Corrode the internal surface of the engine bodyDiesel fuel has high sulfur content, which is easy to produce strong acidic substances after combustion, which can lead to and aggravate the corrosion and wear of engine metal parts. For example, more oil products information oil information technology, please pay attention to the official account of the oil ring, causing corrosion of the engine combustion chamber and exhaust system by gas phase, easy to condense into sulfuric acid (H2SO4), and attach to various parts of the cylinder and exhaust system, resulting in strong liquid corrosion. Moreover, this will also promote the formation of carbon deposition and harden the carbon deposition. These carbon deposits are attached to parts, which will aggravate mechanical wearSulfur trioxide produced during fuel combustion can capture some floating particulate dust. When encountering metal parts with low surface temperature, it will carry the captured dust, adhere to the metal surface together, and continue to adsorb some floating dust, so as to form a sediment layer. Once the deposited layer is formed, the thermal conductivity of the metal will decrease rapidly and the temperature will rise rapidly, resulting in high-temperature corrosion of the metal. Therefore, the content of sulfide in diesel should not be too highRight and wrong in diesel managementError 1. The oil tank is too dirtyError reason: the cleanest diesel will be dirty.Correct method: clean the funnel and oil barrel.Error 2. Roll the oil barrel. When refueling, put down the oil barrel and roll it to the front of the machine.Cause of error: roll it down, and the water and impurities originally precipitated at the bottom of the barrel are mixed with diesel again.Correct method: carefully send the diesel precipitated for 24 hours to the machine for refueling with a trolley.Error 3. Use a dirty pipe to input diesel oil during refuelingCause of error: dirty things enter the fuel tank together with diesel.Correct way: add filter material (such as silk stockings) to the clean oil pipe to filter the fuel, so as to keep impurities out of the fuel tank.Error 4. Place the oil barrel at a high place and insert the oil pipe for refuelingError reason: unsafe practice. If there is dirty material in the oil barrel, the dirt will enter the oil tank along the oil pipe due to the pressure in the oil pipe.Correct way: it is a good solution to use hand pump to refuel the equipment instead of ordinary oil pipe. (Note: hand pump is available in the market)Precautions for daily management of fuelAfter we buy the diesel oil required for construction machinery and equipment, we must not ignore the management of oil barrels. Storing these fuel oil correctly can avoid many unnecessary faults.1. Before purchase, the purchase quality shall be controlled; After purchase, strengthen in warehouse managementmatters needing attention(1) Control the purchase channel and do not buy fuel mixed with water, sand and poor oil products.(2) Pay attention to no smoking and no fire in places where fuel is concentrated.(3) When placing the fuel tank in the open air, try to place it horizontally, and pay attention to cover the tank (cloth and plastic cloth) to prevent rainwater from mixing in the fuel tank.(4) When placing the fuel barrel, if it must be placed upright, pay attention to pad something on one side of the bottom of the fuel barrel so that one side of the barrel can be tilted to place the water flowing into the oil outlet hole on the top of the barrel(5) For the fuel barrel with half tank of fuel, try to place it horizontally and horizontally, so that the oil level of the fuel in the barrel is higher than the position of the oil outlet hole of the fuel barrel, so as to prevent air inhalation.2. During the operation of construction machinery, the appropriate fuel shall be selected according to the ambient temperature to prevent the fuel from freezing. The grade of diesel indicates the freezing point of diesel, and the diesel that loses fluidity at 0 ℃ is No. 0 diesel, and so on. When using, we should choose the appropriate brand according to the temperature used at that time. Generally, the grade used shall be 5-10 ℃ lower than the service temperature to ensure the normal operation of diesel enginePay attention to the use of diesel of appropriate brandWhen the minimum temperature in a day is higher than 0 ℃: No. 0 diesel oil shall be selected. When the minimum temperature in a day is - 10 ℃ 0 ℃: - 10 diesel oil shall be selected. When the minimum temperature in a day is - 20 ℃ - 10 ℃: - 20 diesel oil shall be selected. When the minimum temperature in a day is - 20 ℃ - 30 ℃: - 35 diesel oil shall be selected. When the minimum temperature in a day is below - 30 ℃: - 50 diesel oil shall be selected.3. It is recommended that users fill up the fuel immediately after work every dayFill up the fuel immediately after the work every day, and drain the accumulated water from the oil tank and oil-water separator before starting every day.Filling the oil tank with oil can drive out the air inside, otherwise the water in the air will condense and mix into the fuel.Clean the oil-water separator to discharge the water and sundries deposited at the bottom of the oil tank.4. Replace the genuine fuel filter element according to the specified maintenance timeEach machine has a maintenance manual, which has the most detailed instructions and notes on the operation and maintenance of the machine. You can study it carefully. For various reasons, many car owners and drivers have not read the maintenance manual at all. They rely entirely on their masters and professors or their own experience to maintain the machine, which is actually a great waste. It is recommended that you find the maintenance manual you brought with you when you bought the car and put it in the cab for the driver's reference

The Most in Demand Skills for Data Scientists
The Most in Demand Skills for Data Scientists
Data scientists are expected to know a lot machine learning, computer science, statistics, mathematics, data visualization, communication, and deep learning. Within those areas there are dozens of languages, frameworks, and technologies data scientists could learn. How should data scientists who want to be in demand by employers spend their learning budget?I scoured job listing websites to find which skills are most in demand for data scientists. I looked at general data science skills and at specific languages and tools separately.UPDATE: in late 2019 I looked at the technologies again and compared them to the 2018 results to see which skills are on the rise and which are declining. See that analysis here.I searched job listings on LinkedIn, Indeed, SimplyHired, Monster, and AngelList on October 10, 2018. Heres a chart showing how many data scientist jobs each website listed.I read through many job listings and surveys to find the most common skills. Terms like management were not compared because they can be used in so many different contexts in job listings. All searches were performed for the United States with data scientist [keyword]. Using exact match search reduced the number of results. However, this method ensured the results were relevant for data scientist positions and affected all search terms similarly. AngelList provides the number of companies with data scientist listings rather than the number of positions. I excluded AngelList from both analyses because its search algorithm seems to operate as an OR type of logical search, without the ability to change it to an AND. AngelList works fine if you are looking for data scientist TensorFlow which is only going to be found with data scientist positions, but if your keywords are data scientist react. js it returns far too many listings for companies with non-data scientist job listings.Glassdoor was also excluded from my analyses. The site stated that it had 26,263 data scientist jobs in the US, but it would show me no more than 900 jobs. Additionally, it seems highly unlikely it would have more than three times the number of data scientist job listings as any other major platform.Terms with over 400 listings on LinkedIn for general skills and over 200 listings for specific technologies were included in the final analyses. There was certainly some cross posting. The results are recorded in this Google Sheet. I downloaded . csv files and imported them into JupyterLab. I then computed the percentage occurrences and averaged them across the job listing websites.I also compared the software results to a Glassdoor study of its data scientist job listings from the first half of 2017. Combined with information from KDNuggets usage survey, it appears some skills are becoming more important and others are losing importance. Well get to those in a bit.See my Kaggle Kernel for interactive charts and additional analyses here. I used Plotly for the visualizations. To use Plotly with JupyterLab takes a little wrangling as of this writing. I wrote a guide to using Plotly that you can see here.General SkillsHeres the chart of the most frequent general data scientist skills sought by employers. The results show that analysis and machine learning are at the heart of data scientist jobs. Gleaning insights from data is a primary function of data science. Machine learning is all about creating systems to predict performance and it is very in demand.Data science requires statistics and computer science skills no surprise there. Statistics, computer science, and mathematics are also college majors, which probably helps their frequency. It is interesting that communication is mentioned in nearly half of job listings. Data scientists need to be able communicate insights and work with others. AI and deep learning dont show up as frequently as some other terms. However, they are subsets of machine learning. Deep learning is being used for more and more of the machine learning tasks that other algorithms were used for previously. For example, the best machine learning algorithms for most natural language processing problems are now deep learning algorithms. I expect deep learning skills will be sought more explicitly in the future and that machine learning will become more synonymous with deep learning.Which specific software tools for data scientists are employers looking for? Lets tackle that question next. Technology SkillsBelow are the top 20 specific languages, libraries, and tech tools employers are looking for data scientists to have experience with.Lets briefly look at the most common tech skills.Python is the most in-demand language. The popularity of this open-source language has been widely observed. Its beginner friendly, with many support resources. The vast majority of new data science tools are compatible with it. Python is the primary language for data scientists. R is not far behind Python. It once was the primary language for data science. I was surprised to see how in demand it still is. The roots of this open source language are in statistics, and its still very popular with statisticians. Python or R is a must for virtually every data scientist position.SQL is also in high demand. SQL stands for Structured Query Language and is the primary way to interact with relational databases. SQL is sometimes overlooked in the data science world, but its a skill worth demonstrating mastery of if youre planning to hit the job market. UPDATE December 2019: I have an SQL book in the works. Join my Data Awesome mailing list to make sure you dont miss it. Up next are Hadoop and Spark, both open source tools from Apache for big data. Apache Hadoop is an open source software platform for distributed storage and distributed processing of very large data sets on computer clusters built from commodity hardware. Source.Apache Spark is a fast, in-memory data processing engine with elegant and expressive development APIs to allow data workers to efficiently execute streaming, machine learning or SQL workloads that require fast iterative access to datasets. Source. These tools have considerably less written about them on Medium and in tutorials than many others. I expect many fewer job candidates have these skills than Python, R, and SQL. If you have or can gain experience with Hadoop and Spark it should give you a leg up on the competition. Then come Java and SAS. I was surprised to see these languages as high as they are. Both have large companies behind them, and at least some free offerings. Both Java and SAS generally receive little attention in the data science community.Tableau is next in demand. This analytics platform and visualization tool is powerful, easy to use, and growing in popularity. It has a free public version, but will cost you money if you want to keep your data private. If you arent familiar with Tableau, its definitely worth taking a quick class such as Tableau 10 A-Z on Udemy. I dont get a commission for the suggestion I just took the class and found it to be a great value. The chart below shows an even bigger list of the most in demand languages, frameworks, and other data science software tools.Historical ComparisonGlassDoor did an analysis of the 10 most common software skills for data scientists from January 2017 through July 2017 on their site. Heres a comparison of how frequently the terms appeared on their site compared to the average on LinkedIn, Indeed, SimplyHired, and Monster in October 2018. The results are fairly similar. Both my analysis and GlassDoors found Python, R, and SQL to be the most in demand. We also found the same top nine technology skills, albeit in slightly different orders. The results suggest that compared to the first half of 2017, R, Hadoop, Java, SAS, and MatLab are now less in demand and Tableau is more in demand. This is what I would expect given the complementary results from sources such as the KDnuggets developer survey. There, R, Hadoop, Java, and SAS all show clear multi-year downward usage trends and Tableau shows a clear upward trend.RecommendationsBased on the results of these analyses, here are some general recommendations for current and aspiring data scientists concerned with making themselves widely marketable. Demonstrate you can do data analysis and focus on becoming really skilled at machine learning.Invest in your communication skills. I recommend reading the book Made to Stick to help your ideas have more impact. Also check out the Hemmingway Editor app to improve the clarity of your writing. Master a deep learning framework. Being proficient with a deep learning framework is a larger and larger part of being proficient with machine learning. For a comparison of deep learning frameworks in terms of usage, interest, and popularity see my article here.If you are choosing between learning Python and R, choose Python. If you have Python down cold, consider learning R. Youll definitely be more marketable if you also know R.When an employer is looking for a data scientist with Python skills, they are also likely to expect candidates to know the common python data science libraries: NumPy, pandas, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib. If youre looking to learn this set of tools, I suggest the following resources:UPDATE December 2019: I recently released my Memorable Python book to help you learn Python the brain-friendly way! Check it out if that sounds up your alley. DataCamp and DataQuest they are both reasonably priced online SaaS data science eduction products where you learn as you code. They both teach a number of technology tools. Data School has a variety of resources including a nice set of YouTube videos explaining data science concepts.Python for Data Analysis by McKinney. This book by the primary author of the pandas library focusses on pandas and also discusses basic Python, NumPy, and Scikit-learn functionality for data science.Introduction to Machine Leaning with Python by Mller & Guido. Mller is a primary maintainer of scikit-learn. Its an excellent book for learning machine learning with scikit-learn.If you are looking to jump into deep learning, I suggest starting with Keras or FastAI before moving on to TensorFlow or PyTorch. Chollets Deep Learning with Python is a great resource for learning Keras.Beyond these recommendations, I suggest you learn what interests you, although there are obviously many considerations when deciding how to allocate your learning time.If youre looking for a data scientist job through online portals, I suggest you start with LinkedIn it consistently has the most results. If you are looking for a job or posting positions on job sites, keywords matter. data science returns nearly 3x the number of results that data scientist does on each site. But if you are looking strictly for a data scientist job, youre probably better off searching for data scientist. Regardless of where youre looking I suggest you make an online portfolio that demonstrates your proficiency with as many in-demand skill areas as possible. I made a little guide to making a portfolio site here.As part of this project I collected other data that I may turn into articles. Follow me to make sure you dont miss out. If you want to see the interactive Plotly charts and the code behind them, check out my Kaggle Kernel.I hope this article has provided you with some insights into what organizations hiring data scientists are looking for. If you learned something, please share it on your favorite social media so other people can find it too .I write about data science, cloud computing, and other tech stuff. Follow me and read more here if youre into that stuff. Happy learning! .

Scouts Seek Adventure in Maine Woods
WESTFIELD -- Boy Scouts from Troop 73 ventured into the Maine North Woods in search of adventure and history as they retraced over 100 miles of the most remote part of Henry David Thoreau's 1857 journey. The inspiration for the trip was the unveiling of the Thoreau-Wabanaki Trail in 2007, commemorating the 150th anniversary of Thoreau's third and final journey into Maine's North Woods. In 1857 Henry David Thoreau traveled from Moosehead Lake to Indian Island near Old Town, Maine, on the Penobscot River. This was Thoreau's longest and most arduous expedition. Thoreau, along with friend Ed Hoar and Penobscot Indian guide Joe Polis, completed the canoe trip in twenty days, including eleven in the Maine North Woods. Rather than paddling Moosehead Lake, the largest lake in Maine, the scouts began their trek at Roll Dam on the West Branch of the Penobscot River, avoiding the two-mile Northeast Carry. Traveling down the West Branch the scouts visited Chesuncook Village as Thoreau did. They visited the community church where Thoreau worshipped and Ansel Smith's grave, a man who made his living by lodging and feeding the lumberers and at whose home Thoreau stayed in. The scouts also paid a visit to the "store" for homemade root beer floats. From Chesuncook the scouts made their way up to Umbazooksus Lake into the Allagash Wilderness Waterway via the infamous 1.6-mile "Mud Carry" which lived up to its name. The scouts explored both Chamberlain and Eagle Lake, the northern-most point of Thoreau's expeditions, and then returned to Chamberlain Lake via the abandoned tramway built in 1902 to transport timber from Eagle to Chamberlain Lake. Along the carry are two giant oil-burning steam locomotives, which traveled between Eagle and Umbazooksus Lake in the early 1900s, and now stand abandoned in the forest as reminders of Maine's logging history. From Chamberlain Lake the scouts paddled east to Round Pond, Telos Lake and Webster Lake, before descending class II white water on Webster Stream into Grand Lake Matagamon. Thoreau portaged around a dam at the outlet of the lake and finally paddled the length of the East Branch back to Indian Island. After traveling over 100 miles in ten days in the wilderness the scouts pulled out at the Grand Lake Matagamon Dam. Unprecedented rain had swollen the East Branch to over five times the normal flow and the scouts were unable to paddle it, as water levels raised significant safety concerns. Undaunted, the scouts climbed Mt. Katahdin, which Thoreau climbed on his first visit to Maine in 1846. Katahdin's summit is almost a mile above sea level at 5,268 ft. It is the highest mountain in Maine and the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. Called "Katahdin" by the Penobscot Indians, the term means "The Greatest Mountain." The scouts ended their trip with a wild day of rafting on the West Branch of the Penobscot River below Ripogenus Dam, a tough class IV-V river with chutes, drops and large holes that challenged the scouts in exciting rapids like Exterminator, Cribworks and the huge Nesowdnehunk Falls. Stop by and learn more about Troop 73, which meets in the Holy Trinity School cafeteria on Monday evenings beginning Sept. 8. For more information, visit www.westfieldnj.com/troop73 or call Scoutmaster Steve Deduck at (908) 233-2867.

Ujeli: a Child Bride in Nepal
Ujeli: A Child Bride in NepalUjeli: A child bride in Nepal is a social tragic drama depecting child marriage culture in Nepal. This film underlines the sharp distinctions between the roles of boys and girls in Nepal such as education, food and medical care. The film is directed by Deependra Gauchan and produced by UNICEF.— — — — — —Child Citizenship Act of 2000The Child Citizenship Act of 2000 (CCA) is a United States federal law that amended the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 regarding acquisition of citizenship by children of US citizens and added protections for individuals who have voted in US elections in the mistaken belief that they were US citizens. The law modified past rules for child citizenship. Under the CCA, certain children born outside the US who did not obtain citizenship at birth may obtain citizenship automatically after admission as permanent residents (CCA 101) or may be eligible for expeditious naturalization (CCA 102). The act also implemented protections for some individuals who have voted or claimed to be US citizens as a result of a good faith mistake (CCA 201). The Act is known as Public Law 106-395. CCA 101 is implemented in INA 320, codified at 8 U.S.C. 1431. CCA 102 is implemented in INA 322, codified at 8 U.S.C. 1433. The CCA modified INA 101(f), 212(a)(10)(D), 212(a)(6)(C), 237(a)(6), and 237(a)(3)(D); 8 U.S.C. 1101(f), 1182(a)(10)(D), 1182(a)(6)(C), 1227(a)(6), and 1227(a)(3)(D). The CCA also modified 18 U.S.C. 611 and 1015.— — — — — —Child protectionChild protection is the protection of children from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect. Article 19 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child provides for the protection of children in and out of the home. Child protection systems are a set of usually government-run services designed to protect children and young people who are underage and to encourage family stability. UNICEF defines a 'child protection system' as: . the set of laws, policies, regulations and services needed across all social sectors - especially social welfare, education, health, security and justice - to support prevention and response to protection-related risks. These systems are part of social protection, and extend beyond it. At the level of prevention, their aim includes supporting and strengthening families to reduce social exclusion, and to lower the risk of separation, violence and exploitation. Responsibilities are often spread across government agencies, with services delivered by local authorities, non-State providers, and community groups, making coordination between sectors and levels, including routine referral systems etc.., a necessary component of effective child protection systems.- United Nations Economic and Social Council (2008), UNICEF Child Protection Strategy, E/ICEF/2008/5/Rev.1, par. 12-13.— — — — — —Child language acquisitionChildren typically begin to generate causatively alternating verbs around the age of 1;11 (years;months). Around this time the causative alternations closely resemble an adult-like form; however, around the age of 2;6 to 12;0 children begin making common errors of overregularization, in which they erroneously overuse the causative. Children often acquire the syntactic pattern that goes along with verbal alternations; however, that does not mean that they acquire the lexical semantic restrictions that accompany these alternations. Three common overregulizations include: (29a) Fixed intransitive verbs as transitive verbs: "Look at me swim her" [make her swim] In (29a), children are incorrectly using a causative/transitive structure with a fixed intransitive verb ("swim"). (29b) Fixed transitive verbs produced in intransitive contexts "The snake cutted in half. [It cut in half] In (29b) children are mistakenly employing a causative/transitive verb ("cut") in an intransitive environment, where "cut" has the meaning of 'separate in half.' (29c) Suppletive verb substitutions which have different lexical items to show cause: "Stay it there!" [keep it there] In (29c), children are erroneously using fixed intransitive verbs (such as "stay") in environments where fixed transitive verbs (such as "keep") would be used.In language acquisition, once children establish that a particular transitivity alternation is productive, they often extend the alternation to new verbs, despite the argument structure of the individual verb. It has been suggested that causative alternation errors come from three sources: (30a) Lexical rules being applied too broadly, thus not recognizing the narrow semantic restrictions of verbs (30b) Reflections of retrieval errors, where the wrong verb stem is retrieved under discourse pressure (30c) Immature rule system, where the absence of the adult rule leads to errors in productionsWhen acquiring causatively alternating verbs children must learn both the semantic representation and the argument structure of each verb to produce grammatical sentences It has been suggested that children learn this is through the no negative evidence problem; for example a child will learn that the verb 'throw' can never be used in a subject position: *"the ball threw". In children with specific language impairmentsChildren with specific language impairments (SLI) tend to produce less mature responses (i.e., different verb and adjectival) and fewer mature responses (periphrastics and passives) compared to children of the same age comparison (AC). The children with SLI produced slightly fewer overgeneralizations, but in general, did not appear to differ in frequency or type of overgeneralizations when compared to the AC children. In English, children need to be able to organize verbs into three separate syntactic groups in order to properly use causative alternations. These syntactic groups include: Fixed intransitives Fixed transitives CausativesWhile children with SLI can typically use the lexical alternation for causative alternation as well as AC children, they tend to have difficulty using the syntactic cues to deal with verbs with fixed transitivity.
What Does It Mean When Dpreview Says White Balance Often Excessively Orange Under Artificial Light?
By "artificial light", they mean tungsten (incandescent) and fluorescent. Flash is artificial too, but it's usually relatively high color temperatures (like the midday sun) and therefore not hard for the auto-wb systems to get right. In any case, it is a moderate concern. It's not necessarily a deal-breaker because there are plenty of workarounds, but even if you shoot raw and post-process every image, it's nice for the white balance to be at least close to correct initially. My current camera, a Pentax K-7, has incredibly good automatic white balance, usually providing results better than the presets like "sunny" or "cloudy". I find this to be a huge benefit and time saver. I'd be disappointed with any camera that had worse performance in this area. (The K-7 has a sensor that it uses to adjust the autofocus system depending on the wavelength of light, and it's speculated that this is also used for the auto-wb, but I don't know of any proof of that and Pentax won't say.)Unfortunately, online reviews don't seem to cover this very well, either accepting poor performance as the status quo and maybe putting a line like the one you noticed in the conclusion, or else using some sort of technical measuring system where the results don't match with my experience. Not to argue with science, but there's a lot of ways to get those technical measurements wrong, and since they don't line up with my actual observations, I'm skeptical. So this is something I'd test out in person first if possible, and ask someone who has the camera about if notFrom: White balance often excessively orange under artificial light.Artificial light here may also mean Flash. Is this something which I should be concerned of if I have to purchase this camera or is this "normal" and can be "easily" adjusted by reading this: How do I properly white-balance my photographs when I'm shooting in mixed-lighting environments? ?Is this a factor on which one should/may decide not to purchase this model?·OTHER ANSWER:From: White balance often excessively orange under artificial light.Artificial light here may also mean Flash. Is this something which I should be concerned of if I have to purchase this camera or is this "normal" and can be "easily" adjusted by reading this: How do I properly white-balance my photographs when I'm shooting in mixed-lighting environments? ?Is this a factor on which one should/may decide not to purchase this model?

Is it wrong to post this?I think it is helpful to post this. We hear all the time about pet store pets coming from puppy mills. But not all pet store pets come from puppy mills. Some do come from reputable breeders. As for the puppy bought at a farm with all the health problems there is no guarantee that these pups were not interbred with mother/son-father/daughter interbreeding which leads to health problems because of the recessive genes in one becoming dominant in another. Turn 180 all of a sudden every once in a while so the dog pays attention. Run over things like benches so the dog notices obstacles and where you are going. Run, and then come to a stop, your dog should look at you. Get him/her to sit when you stop, if they are reluctant pull up on the leash - it won't hurt them, but it is uncomfortable so they will sit and you can relax the leash. As for which side they walk on, hold them on a short leash so they can't get to the other side every once in a while. Where Is the Relay Switch on a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
On the grand cherokee the most common one to go out would be the Radiator Fan Relay which is mounted behind the front bumper cover, i think the driver side. it doesnt look like an ordinary relay though, but there is a wire connector going into it, and it is riveted on to the front bumper itself. Under the cover, on the metal bumper. This is very common for these cars, and have sold them about once a day, if not more since ive been working at the chrysler dealership. • Related Questions putting timing belt back on 2000 mercury sable? It won't necessarily have a drain. If it does it will have a valve, most likely on the engine side at the bottom. Look for a drain tube or hole in the shielding and the radiator support, the drain valve would be right above it if there is one. Otherwise you'll have to remove the lower radiator hose. BTW, the pins that you are referring to usually have an expander inside of them that you pry out of the middle and then the whole pin will come out easily ------ Have 96 Honda accord, found antifreeze leaking out its pooling in bottom of radiator where could the leak be? Your leak could be arround the top or bottom hose or near one of the 2 top brakets that hold it in place. Honda radiators are very fragile and are prone to carck easily. I've had to replace one on 3 of the many hondas i've owned. Even cracked one installing it and its only 2 hoses, 4 bolts, and it slides down in with ease. The guy above has the right idea about the preassure test and a radiator will cost you at the most $120 unless you upgrade to an aftermarket part ------ How does snow cover influence the air temperature during the day and night? Snow is a good reflector of sunlight and a fairly good radiator of long-wave radiations. So,during day time,it reflects most of the sunlight, only a small amount being absorbed. This absorbed heat is used only to melt the snow and it does not raise its temperature. Hence the air temperature also does not raise. In the night, the snow gives out the absorbed heat.Hence the air temperature is not affected much both in the day and the night. Due to this snow cover only, polar regions experience always extremely low temperatures ------ My steam heater in my apartment gets way too hot, can't control it, what can I do? Because it is a rental unit you should check with your landlord. You are not authorized to have anyone do any major repairs to the unit without their approval. I have been in similiar situations and had to resort to keeping a window open. Hopefully your landlord will remedy the issue without any problems. As far as a safety issue, it is a matter of things coming in contact with the hot surface of the unit. In addition to living things, make sure there are no combustible materials in the way like linens or curtains. ------ if a radiator had a cover on it is it okay to put things on it? I have metal radiator covers, and they always get very warm when the radiator is on. The metal covers will get warm or even hot when the radiator is on, so you shouldn't put anything on top of the radiator covers unless it's not going to be affected by the heat. Porcelain figures and most wood or metal picture frames will be fine, but don't keep anything there permanently that's made of paper, cardboard, or cheap plastic, or anything else that might melt or catch fire. It's a great place to put your wet gloves to dry when you come in from the snow, though. ------ if a car is in an accident and the frame is not damaged is it still covered by the factory warranty? If your car is still under factory warranty then yes. However, if the failure was due to the accident, then no. The insurance company will get parts from the dealership and the dealership will have record of what parts was installed in your car (Based on VIN). If your radiator was replaced and it caused your engine to overheat, the insurance company will have repair the vehicle and it will not be your warranty they use. If your power window fails, then it will be under warranty (Unless your accident was on the door the window failed) ------ how can i unfreeze my radiator fluid in my 94 buick regal custom? When that happened to me years ago, I put a tarp over the nose of my car and put a portable heater under the tarp. I watched it to make sure there wasn't any chance of anything catching on fire. It took several hours, but eventually everything thawed out. Remember the radiator probably isn't the only thing frozen. The whole inside of the engine is probably frozen too. Then, after I got it all flowing again, I drained it and used the correct mix so it wouldn't happen again. ------ transmission fluid to much or to little? 1 the fluid must be checked when the engine is running 2 if the fluid is between the 2 holes on the dip stick when the engine cold (and running) the fluid level is close enough to go to step 3 3 when the engine reaches normal operating temperature the fluid level should be in the crosshatched area on the dip stick. P.S. if you have to much fluid (which i suspect you do) you can disconnect one of the cooler lines, start the engine and let some pump out. a simple radiator swap doesn't usually lose much more than 4oz of tranny fluid so if you added a whole quart . ------ Is there sth to cover the radiator? That's all the factory thinks is necessary.the AC takes a few dings from stones, but the fins absorb most. We have an '06 and no problems yet. We got the factory "bra" for ours when new - - used on trips - - may have saved a few bug splatters . but marred the paint elsewhere. In "olden times" some people put hideous big "bugcatchers" on the front of the car - especially when taking a trip.but Yes, they did hamper airflow. I've had a couple cars with such sparse protection up there that I installed window screening behind the grill. ------ Oil fired central heating. How do I bleed a radiator? suggest the radiators which is not heating on top of the radiator there should be a air release valve or a pin type valve, open the slightly for the air to release if the you find water is gushing out this proves the inlet valve after the valve filter may be chocked, You need to shut the inlet water valve then open the filter top cover and clean, this may be full of rust or debris from the pipes, after cleaning reassemble filters open the inlet valve then try bleed the air valve, hope this will be of help, good luck ------ My car engine after washing it.Help? did your mechanic test the fans before he changed them? If your engine light is on, your mechanic can hook up a tester to see what the computer is sensing is wrong. This could be anything from a lose gas cap to some serious engine issues. won't know until the computer codes are checked. Also, keeping your engine clean is good, but you have to make sure that your engine is cooled off before washing it down. Hosing it down right after a trip to the car wash could be very bad. I have known people to crack their engine blocks doing this before. ------ how do i change a radiator on a 1999 buick century? Oil in your radiator is not normal. I would suspect that someone added a coolant additive to the antifreeze. When that stuff saturates the coolant, it often leaves an oily film with what's left over. If it doesn't look like chocolate milk, you are probably fine. Just to be sure, have your coolant system flushed and filled at a quick lube shop, and see if the problem continues. If it does, you have a very small leak in your head gasket somewhere that needs to be addressed. Hope this info helps. Good luck ------ My 2000 Ford Focus is leaking coolant somewhere towards front of engine, what could it be? Without seeing the vehicle, it's impossible to say where the leak is. But, just because you can see it dripping in one place, doesn't mean to say that's where the leak is. Coolant can leak from one area, then run down the engine to drip off in another area. Squeezing on a coolant componenent will cause the leak to show itself but nothing more. The coolant system needs pressure testing at a garage qualified to test cooling systems to identify and cure the cause of the leak ------ 1993 mercury tracer radiator cooling fan sensors and relay? Uses the Engine ECT if I remember for the cooling fan and requires 215 degrees F to turn it on without the a/c on (about 3/4 up on the gauge) Don't have a diagram but have had problems with the fan relays going into a nuclear meltdown. They are under the air filter box (remove the box) and they are tucked inside a hole near there (hard to tell you exactly where in words) but it's a blue relay and a black cover relay with a rubber shield on them. unplug and one of the legs will probably be burnt ------ Where can I find an idea to hide a wall heater, propane, when not is use? if you can cover the area with a drop slider door and paint or wall paper to match the existing then you are done.
