The USB 5v opens to protect your computers from the connected device trying to draw too much current. The pin driver may have burned out, or it may, in fact, have delivered an excessive current (even if not the full 625 mA) but have been saved from failure by the USB supply having opened soon enough
1. Do I need to purchase a high speed USB port on a 5 year old HP desktop tower 4 my internet connection 2 work?
WiFi is not an optimal solution for desktops. You will be better off buying an EtherNet card and running a wire to the router
2. Need some advice on 3.5-inch TFT Monitor and TV Tuner, USB Port and SD/ MMC/ MS Card?
it does look nice but you must remember that you get what you pay for. one thing i noticed is that it is only 30 watts x 4 max. that is not mean its bad but it does make me wonder about the quality. at only $110 i would be very suspicious. but if you think it is a good buy, go for it. just make sure to do your research. good luck!!!
3. What's the reason why USB is designed in a way that it provides stress to people every time they plug it on the USB port?
Who is stressed by this? But actually the vast majority of USB connectors tell you which side is up. The top has the USB symbol on it, the bottom does not . So even if you cant see the port, maybe it's behind something or inside something you will still get it right. You can see it here, the top has the USB symbol on the black plastic part.Since someone told me this years ago I've never plugged them in wrong anymore
4. can you add a hub to a laptop usb port and increase speed from 1.0 to 2.0?
No you can not . Even if you add a USB 2.0 compatible hub, it will still need to use the USB 1.0 socket to actually move data into the PC. So that will limit the speed to USB 1.0

8. What is the definition of USB port in computer...? and what is the definition of ufb display in cell phones?
Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a serial bus standard to interface devices. A major component in the legacy-free PC, USB was designed to allow peripherals to be connected using a single standardised interface socket, to improve plug-and-play capabilities by allowing devices to be connected and disconnected without rebooting the computer (hot swapping). Other convenient features include powering low-consumption devices without the need for an external power supply and allowing some devices to be used without requiring individual device drivers to be installed. The following link describes circuit breakers including Earth Faults.
9. Is it possible to read a USB port directly? [closed]
It assumed that this question is a continuation from How to transition from battery to USB in a microcontroller?. It is also assumed that your goal is to collect data using a PIC micro controller and transfer the data to a Windows base computer. An alternate is to use configure a UART port on the PIC micro controller to transfer data serially. Then use a FTDI based USB serial cable such as the one in the image to transfer data. The data can be accessed using a serial COM port on the PC. The USB port will be enumerated as a RS232 standard COM port. This will also help you create simple C program too. This alternate solution will solve your 3V and 5V predicament from the other question. References:
