Explosion proof measures: when charging lithium battery, the upper limit of charging voltage and the lower limit of discharging voltage must be set, and the ideal values are 4.2V and 2.4V respectively, so as to take into account the service life, capacity and safety at the same time; In addition, the upper current limit is also very necessary. The best way is to have the design of battery protection circuit board. Although it will increase the manufacturing cost of lithium battery, it is necessary for the safe use of lithium battery. This design is inevitable for the products of all regular lithium battery manufacturers.

The protection of lithium battery shall include three items: upper limit of charging voltage, lower limit of discharge voltage and upper limit of current. In general, there is a protective plate in the lithium battery pack except the lithium battery cell, which mainly provides these three protections. However, these three protections of the protection board are obviously not enough. Lithium battery explosions are still frequent all over the world. To ensure the safety of the battery system, we must analyze the causes of battery explosion more carefully.
