Batteries explode due to over heating or faulty design. So it does not matter if it's removable or not.Phones rarely burst into flames. Very very rarely, maybe one in a million devices will have a faulty battery. So it's not a big issue.

Cell phones constantly use power to "Call Home" to the nearest cell tower to say where they are. They do not do this when they are OFF.We live in a rural area with minimal cell reception, and the need for the cell phone to go to full power (when it's ON) for this internal communication, drains the battery. (It's just sitting there in ON - we are not talking, or calling, or receiving a call). So, we keep the phone OFF when it's at home (preserving the battery charge); and only turn it ON when we are in town (with it's lots of cell towers). The battery power consumed in populated areas, when it's ON but dark may be minimal - but in rural areas, it sucks the battery dry to be left ON - even if there's a dark screen

4. Can I charge a battery and a phone at the same time? [closed]

I've looked at several battery manufacturers comments and they generally say NOT to do this. If you think about this - if you are charging at 1 amp and at the same time pushing out 1 amp to a downstream device, how can the battery ever charge at all? That also does not consider the inefficiencies of the design. Generally the efficiency is supposed to be something like 35% so only 35% of the battery's charge could go downstream and I am not sure of what the charge efficiency is.

5. I use my iPhone most of the time while charging to text and play iMessage games. Does it damage my battery or the phone? I checked my battery health and it's fine.

Thanks for the A2A.As Chris Summers said, if your phone heats up to the point it is uncomfortable to hold, it's time to put it down and let it charge up. Otherwise, you are not harming your battery.Your iPhone is very good at managing its own battery so except for the heating up issue, you want to keep it plugged in as much as possible to minimize the number of charging cycles it uses. This will increase the battery's productive life overall

I do not think you are a pushover. If the baby is his you are locked for life anyway. You need to go to monster/indeed/careerbuilder wewbsites and type in entry level account executive. The short answer is no, it won't damage the phone as long as the charger is of the proper type (USB) and voltage 5ish volts.The current listed on the charger is the maximum current/power that it is designed to supply, the phone or device being charged will only take the amount that it needs/can use to run itself and charge the battery.As a bonus the phone might charge a little faster if the old charger didn't put out at least as much current/power that the phone or device being charged could use.
