Bruster's Ice Cream is an American chain of ice cream parlors whose ice cream and frozen yogurt is made from a milk-based mix at each individual store. Their primary operating region is in most states east of the Mississippi River. The chain is based in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania. All of the ice cream is made fresh in the stores in order to avoid ice crystal formation. The recipe book that Bruster's uses consists of over 170 recipes with many seasonal favorites. Bruster's also makes a variety of handmade ice cream cakes as well as homemade waffle cones.

Glasgow Ice Cream Wars

The Ice Cream Wars was a turf war in the East End of Glasgow, in Scotland, in the 1980s between rival criminal organisations selling drugs and stolen goods from ice cream vans. Van operators were involved in frequent violence and intimidation tactics. A driver and his family were killed in an arson attack that resulted in a 20-year court battle. The conflicts generated widespread public outrage, and earned the Strathclyde Police the nickname of "serious chimes squad" (a pun on Serious Crime Squad) for its perceived failure to address them.

Ice-cream Product Growth

In 2017 KIDO Foods led the Vietnamese ice-cream market with growth of 16 percent, whereas the average growth in the market was 14.7 percent. Revenues from ice-cream boosted KIDO's cash flows by 1.5 trillion VND which was a 6 percent increase from 2016. In early 2017, KIDO Foods dominated the ice cream market with a 35 percent market share, in comparison to other companies' such as Unilever, Thuy Ta and Vinamilk which 10 percent, 10 percent and 9 percent market shares respectively. KIDO Foods owns two of the leading brands in Vietnam: Merino and Celano. Merino focuses on targeting the younger audience of 5 to 25 years old. Whereas Celano targets an older audience of 25 to 40 years old. About 70% of the ice cream in Vietnam is sold through retail outlets in the form of instant ice cream or box ice cream, while the remaining 30% is sold through food services outlets such as restaurants, coffee shops, which often has a higher price. KIDO Group has a plant with an area of nearly 24,000 m² in the Tay Bac Cu Chi Industrial Zone, designed particularly to manufacture the leading ice cream brands such as Celano, Merino and Wel Yo. Since 2011, the firm has tried to expand their ice cream and yogurt capacity by doubling production.

What are your most happening childhood memories?

Summer vacations.Its not that school was not fun, school was fun but summer vacation had its own charm. Not only did we have holidays for school but all the different stuff we got to eat which otherwise were not allowed much.My mom used to promise us every year that we will get an ice cream on the last day of our exam. And on the last day when we reached home we got our ice cream. And the most important thing about loving summers was MANGOESu2026. yummy.Most of the time we went to our nani's place which was an old styled stone masonry house with a small aangan in the front. All day we(cousins and some friends around) used to play. Come back home by 4pm for tea and biscuits. In the evening we used sprinkle water in the aangan. And later sit/sleep on the iron cot and have fun under the stars. And the fun watching movies together in the living room and fighting for the favourite place to sleep. The occassional antakshari when there was a power cut and fighting over songs being repeated.I can go on and on but those memories wont end. u201cLost are those days, lost is that childhoodu201d.
